Ark7 started when the founder, Andy, noticed the challenges that come with real estate investing when he first wanted to invest. He saw firsthand the tedium of tenant and property management and thought, “There must be a better way.”
After researching standard investing methods such as REITs and crowdfunding platforms, what he found out was the opposite. Even with these alternatives, investors still deal with financial advisors, sales agents, asset managers, and property managers—ultimately affecting the bottom line. Seeing these inefficiencies, Andy kept looking for an answer.
That is where all the stars aligned: Andy met Jim Holt, a real estate expert with more than fifteen years of real estate experience, and together they founded Ark7, with the goal of “making real estate investment as easy as a stock investment.” Together they designed a user-friendly platform that helps aspiring real estate investors keep tabs on properties and learn more about other opportunities.
Ark7 makes the entire process transparent to their users by clearly displaying each property with nearby points of interest, estimated returns, legal documents, market appreciation predictions, and more.
We’re bridging the gap between investors and high-quality properties by handling all the legalities and ownership complications. With no minimums or fees, Ark7 is democratizing the investment field by giving beginner investors experience in the housing market.
Ark7 works both with you and for you. We carefully vet each property before acquiring it. Users can then purchase a property and receive shares from the purchase. Ark7 owns 1-10% of the property shares offered so that our interests are aligned with those of investors.
From an initial seed investment of $2M in July 2019, we’ve grown to have a total user investment of $1M in just two months. Our first property in Berkeley, CA was acquired in 2019.
